How to Jailbreak iPod iOS 6 with evasi0n [Windows]
Step 1
Backup your iPod via iTunes or iCloud. Make sure your iPod is running on iOS 6.0 through 6.1, and don’t forget to disable your device passcode.
Step 2
Download evasi0n for Windows.
Step 3
Extract and execute the downloaded evasi0n.exe file.
Step 4
Now plug-in your iPod to your PC. As evasi0n detected your iPod, the jailbreak button will be activated and click the jailbreak button to begin jailbreaking process.
Step 5
Evasi0n will now perfomed several steps icluding, prepare jailbreak data, injecting jailbreak data, reboot the device, upload Cydia, and upload the Cydia packages list. Just sit back, don’t touch anything, enjoy the evasi0n jailbreak process.
Step 6
Once the above jailbreak process is completed, you will be asked to unlock the device. Slide-to-Unlock your iPod, and you’ll see the ‘Jailbreak‘ icon on the Home-screen. Tap just once on the jailbreak app icon, and then your iPod screen should go black and then return to the Home-screen.
Step 7
Evasi0n will continue the jailbreak process and display messages like injecting jb data, and Root Filesystem successfully remounted. Just relax and don’t do anything.
Step 8
Once the jailbreak process has completed, evasi0n will display a message “Done!” Now your iPod touch will reboot several time’s and the first reboot will take some time then usual. So, be patient, everything is alright!
An evasi0n logo and several messages will appear on the iPod screen. As the process completed you’ll be taken to your iPod’s Lock-screen. Slide-to-Unlock your iPod and you should see the Cydia icon on Home-screen.

Important Notes
- If the process gets stuck somewhere, it’s safe to restart the program, reboot the device (if necessary by holding down Power and Home until it shuts down), and rerun the process.
- If you get an error on OS X 10.8 saying that evasi0n can’t be opened, control-click (or right-click) the app and on the revealed context menu, choose ‘Open.’ On the ensuing dialogue box, choose ‘Open’ as well.
